How this site and the community’s public processes handle information, images, knowledge and the safety of vulnerable people.
POPIA Commitments
The community processes personal information lawfully, minimally and for defined purposes under the Protection of Personal Information Act. Information gathered for tenure, services or safety is used for those purposes only. Requests regarding personal information may be sent to records@knoflokskraal.org.za.
This Website & Your Data
This is a static website. It sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics profiling, and embeds no social feeds. Emails you send to official addresses are handled as official correspondence and kept on record.
Public-Interest Archive Rules
The Public Record publishes documents in the public interest: approved, dated and attributed. Documents remain archived for accountability, with corrections appended rather than history erased.
Redaction Policy
Before publication, documents are reviewed and redacted: personal identifiers, ID numbers, private addresses, unapproved signatures and any detail endangering a person are removed.
Image-Consent Policy
Images of identifiable people appear only with recorded consent — a guardian’s consent for children. Consent may be withdrawn, and withdrawal is honoured across the site and its channels.
Vulnerable Persons Policy
Names, images, locations and identifying details of vulnerable persons are never published. Protection outranks publicity in every editorial decision.
Child Protection
Children’s images, names and details appear only with guardian consent and only where publication serves the child’s dignity. Programmes involving children follow safeguarding practice and lawful cooperation with relevant authorities.
No Legal Advice
Nothing on this site is legal advice. Legal content is public information reflecting the community’s position; formal legal steps are taken only through authorised legal representatives under recorded mandate.
No Confidential Documents
Confidential documents, private mandate registers, internal correspondence and WhatsApp material are not published on this site — under any circumstances.
No Unverified Allegations
This site does not publish untested accusations against any person, body or institution. Disputes about public claims are handled through the Corrections to the Public Record process, with evidence.
Knowledge & Heritage Protocol
Cultural knowledge, story, genealogy and heritage information are governed by the knowledge protocols: consent, mandate, benefit, report-back — and no publication of sensitive heritage locations, ever.
Data Protection & Records Discipline
Community records are held securely by the Secretariat under the data and records protocol, with access limited to mandated persons and retention governed by purpose.
